What, dare say, is The Edwardian Ball?
THE EDWARDIAN BALL is an elegant and whimsical celebration of art, music, theatre, fashion, technology, circus, and the beloved creations of the late, great author Edward Gorey. Set in “Edwardian” times, this multi-media festival has grown over the past decade from a small underground club night into an internationally recognized event, even earning the blessing of The Edward Gorey Charitable Trust.
Costumed and enthusiastic attendees, traveling from as far as Australia, Japan, and the UK, flock to this San Francisco tradition for a delightful blend of ballroom dancing, live music, riveting stage shows, DJs, fine art galleries, a vending marketplace, absinthe cocktails, steam machinery, parlour games, sideshows, and more. All ages are welcome and appropriate in this darkly humorous and elegant setting, where literary aficionados rub elbows with insect-like creatures parading on stilts… where historically-accurate Edwardian recreationists waltz by a steam-powered tea garden… where the only guiding rule is that you join in on the fun!
The Edwardian Ball has been called “the quintessential must-not-miss event of the year,” “a defining annual San Francisco tradition,” and “a literary circus of the highest caliber” for good reason… come see for yourself!
This is an event that brings Victorian/Edwardian era, Steampunk, Goth, Burlesque and so much more together. It's gonna be a blast! So Alt Collective members, who's going???

Ok, since I am going on Friday I need help and suggestions on which look to wear. I have five outfits prepared and would like to know what people think.
Choice #1) This outfit is the first that came to my mind when I first was thinking about what to wear. Its cute and dressy, and since I'll be going on Friday to the "carnival" part, the circus themed print would work nicely.
Choice #2) A bit more casual but still cute and bright in colour. I do quite love the wig. <3
Choice #3) Pink and cute, with strawberries. I like Strawberries. I would be wearing my strawberry socks with this outfit as well. Everything would be paired with a bunny theme; headband, backpack, jewelry.
Choice #4) This one would defiantly fit in with the venue, but I'm not entirely sure I want to FIT in. It is the more elegant choice, but seeing as I will be going friday and not Saturday (when things get more elegant and... real?) then perhaps I should go with something a bit more--- errr, fun?
Choice Pinky Pie) Now THIS would make it so I differently did not blend in. I know people would hate me, but people would also love me. I think Pinky Pie would LOVE to take a little time and visit this venue. There would be the opportunity for some pretty awesome pictures and It is defiantly a fun outfit in which I couldn't NOT have fun. <3

Usagi, You're right, number 4 would fit the best, but my fav is number 3. I'm wearing pink,black and baby blue and plan on looking like a gothic cupcake.
Desi, I wish you were here so you could go! I'm trying to convince Edson he wants to.

Usagi... I think you should wear #4 but with the boots from Pinkie Pie. The strawberries are freakin' adorable! The big curly wig is fabulous... you just need more head wear! LOL
I can't wait to see what you decide to do! Hooray for not blending in... I think we'll all be standing out.... which I LOVE!
